The effect of Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) as a microbial diatory feed supplement for juvenile of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)

Tilapia is the second most farmed fish in tropical and sub-tropical countries worldwide. This study investigated effect of replacing meal by Spirulina platensis (groups fed with 5%, 10% 15% Spirulina) on growth Nile tilapia O. niloticus juveniles. Intestinal microbiota has been studied MiSeq Illumina sequencing. No significant differences (P > 0.05) were observed for protein, carbohydrate lipids control food different concentrations spirulina. However, Margalef species richness intestinal bacteria spirulina was significantly higher < compared to samples. Evenness substituted highest concentration Also, few potentially probiotic genera, like Bacillus Actinomycetes detected gut experimented Tilapia. On other hand, percent pathogenic genera recorded Pseudomonas Corynebacterium. In cases, abundances found As manipulation feed shown improve microbiota, which could lead further improvements aquaculture production.
